What is this pod going to be? small? big? square?
My idea is to create a pod within a pod. Where by day it is abled to be pull out and create two or three different space areas. And by the night, the pods is nicely packed away into one singular pod which will glowingly lit up and become a light feature.

hOW mANY ?

How many of this pod am I going to allocate?
My intention is to have at least about three to four pods along the Hay st mall. Each is to have different function to allow for varieties. In how to arrage these pods together is still in the planning stage.

tHE sITE

Reflecting upon the design goal, my small temporary pod will have to be located in area where there is a high traffic level of pedestrians. It is even better if there are a big range in the population age as this will further enables me to analyse the urban lifestyles of a particular area.
I have chosen the site to be in the city centre of Perth, along the Hay st mall. It is a perfect area as there many people coming through this area from all over the city areas. There are many people who come in to Perth CBD to work, live, shop, dine in, meet people and socialise. It is easily accessable by car, bus and trains.
Hay street mall compared to the Murray street mall is a better choice due to its continuity of commercial activities to its east and west direction.

Where is this pod going to be located at?
The intention is to locates a few pods along the Hay street mall. These pods will be close to one another at the centre and slowly spread out as it gets further away. A variety of uses will be applied to each different pods. Here at the moment I am looking at about six pods across the street (as listed above).
