The sprite musketeer was a 1970s Sprite Musketeer caravan into a contemporary art gallery which I toured through North Wales and the Lake District and used as a mobile viewing station to frame views of the landscape. Essentially this project was an exploration of the relationship between tourism and the history of landscape painting.In 2002 it was used as a mobile gallery showing landscape themed video works curated by myself and Clare Gannaway. Eventually Salford kids got the better of it and smashed up inside the warehouse where it was stored.
